Sunday Edition: Quiet Questions on a Rainy Afternoon
... things i wonder as the seasons change

They say that multi-tasking is unhealthy and one-thing-at-a-time is more productive but today the tv is muted with the tennis match on and the dog is snoring and the rain's soft percussion plays on the metal roof And i'm wondering why the blue jay wants to chase the wren off the feeder when there's plenty for everyone? And what do any of us really need but a breath of peace and a warm memory and quiet hymn of hope? And i wonder: if i have five thousand more days or only five what Light will i bear? And is it too much to ask that i might illumine a dark night for a kindred soul ... or is that too small a dream? And what about the tears to come? Maybe they can water a seed along the way? And i wonder this too: Does the snoring dog or the cheering crowd or the bossy bluejay know how much i love them? And i wonder, do you?
So Beautiful! I feel so blessed that you share your writing & beautiful soul with us.
Blue Jays are jerks to Wrens at my bird feeder too.
