What a kind and thoughtful note to receive today! Yes, of course I remember you - and the connection with Tanglewood and the clergy retreats! I hope you're both doing well. Give one another a big hug and celebrate every moment. All the best to you and your family! ~R
I so appreciate your honesty about feeling the joy and gratefulness in having known someone and the sadness in having lost that someone. The dichotomy of days that should be celebrated and yet are difficult show up with those all of us who have lost. Which of course is the most of us. Thank you for your writing.
We are so sad with you Rebecca. Met you and Tom at a Pat Conway March 4th meeting at Penn. our son worked at Tanglewood Resort and you had been there for Methodist meetings. You told us how Tom encouraged you to move to Beaufort and write and we have your wonderful book on Robert Smalls. We’ve been married 60 years and my heart breaks for your sadness. I can’t imagine going it alone. You are a remarkable woman and know my prayers are with you each day, most especially on the hard ones. Keep up your writing. We all look forward to your wise notes on life. Love you sweet lady. John and Mary Nordlie
Becky, it's Fran Jackson, who still cherishes every bit of the long friendship we had before and the new one I now have reading your beautiful entries. I'm lifting us all of your memories and you in a gentle embrace, asking God to give you all your wonderful memories of Tom and you together back to you in living technicolor, emblazoned in your heart until time eternal.
May he rest in peace and you know you'll be together again for eternity! XOXOXOX!!
Fran, what a delight to hear from you! So grateful for the years of friendship and love and connecting/re-connecting! Give Don a hug for me. All the best to you both!
